Oban Airport - fight or flight?

Will both warring wings of the flightless bird that is currently the Oban Airport project decide now on their priorities? What’s important - scoring points, airing faults on both sides in public in an expensive legal battle funded by the taxpayer or retrieving what’s left of Argyll’s corporate credibility after this juvenile schoolyard brawl?

Regardless of wounded sensibilities on both sides, this situation is damaging Argyll. We’ve had admitted damage to property, potentially homicidal sabotage of the airport’s fire appliance by person or persons unknown - followed by a scene straight out of Dad’s Army when the fire crew, unable to start the damaged appliance, had to attend an emergency landing in a pick up truck and a minibus, armed only with domestic-level Fire Extinguishers.

Council and contractor should shape up and put Argyll first or the Civil Aviation Authority can never grant an operator’s licence.
